Joint Statement from ACSA Board and Chairperson

Joint Statement from ACSA Board and Chairperson

by | Sep 2, 2021 | News, Announcements

Dear ACSA Members and the All Star Cheer and Dance Community,

It is with both sadness and gratitude that we announce Stephen James has stepped down from the role of Chairperson and the Board of ACSA as of 16 August 2021.

Steve was one of the founding members of ACSA and without his dedication and vision, ACSA would not exist as it is today.

Steve not only played a pivotal role in forming and solidifying ACSA’s mission, but was the founding Chairperson and has been successfully leading the organisation from formation in 2018 through to today, where ACSA now sits as the pre-eminent organisation representing the interests of Australia’s All Star Community.

Statement from Steve:

‘It has been a huge honour to serve as Chairman of ACSA and being a Founding Member of ACSA.

However, due to unforeseen personal issues, I have stepped down from my position as Chair and also vacated my Board position of ACSA, as of Monday 16th August as I am unable to continue to carry out the responsibilities of my role.

My decision to stand down as Chair and Board Member has not been taken lightly as I am incredibly proud of the work we have undertaken and the major milestones we have accomplished in the past five years, and I wish the best of success to the board moving forward into the future.’

The ACSA Board sincerely thanks Steve for all of his hard work and dedication in leading ACSA to serve the Australian All Star community and wish Steve all the best.

Edward Miles has been voted in by the Board as the new Chairperson for ACSA and will remain in the role until the 2022 AGM. Jordan Wilson-Otto has also been voted in by the Board as the new Vice-Chairperson for ACSA, filling Edwards previous position.
